Good Evening:
It was so nice to see many of you at the IBA Conference last Thursday.
From the Mailbag: IRW received a nice e-mail from Purdue Fort Wayne:
"The Communication Department is looking to offer an Audio Production class this coming spring semester, and would like to have a multiple mic setup to use for podcasting. We really do not have the equipment they will need and so I thought of your connections with the radio community. Specifically, the professor is interested in setting up a table in the studio and recording the conversations. They could use some boom arms with bases at a minimum. Do you know of any place where these could be acquired? Donations would best fit their budget."
If you could help, please send me an e-mail!

After flipping format in September 2017 to Active Rock, a Fort Wayne translator (and HD subchannel) recently flipped format again. Adams Radio's Active Rock /WJFX-HD2 (107.9fm-HD2, New Haven) and FM translator W277AK (103.3fm, Fort Wayne) did 14 months with an Active Rock format, as "103.3 The Fort" with syndicated morning (Billy Madison) and evening (The Men's Room) shows, while going jockless during the day.
Last Thursday afternoon at 5:00pm, "103.3 The Fort" went away and the station is now hip-hop as "Loud 103.3." You can hear the sign-on here.
Also at Adams, Gold AC/WWFW (103.9fm, Fort Wayne) begins their annual Christmas holiday music tradition.
