Monthly Spotlight: Liver Health Month

Your liver is your body's high-performance engine...
...Some car owners sink their time, money and effort into caring for their high-performance vehicle. Others care only the bare minimum, ignoring the oil leaks, the spreading rust or the concerning noises, just hoping that it will always start up in the morning.
Your liver is your body’s engine, and the reality is that when your liver stops and breaks down, your body does too.
Your liver requires high-quality fuel, regular maintenance, hazard protection and some loving care...

Caregiver of the Month

Congratulations to Carole R for being recognized as February's Caregiver of the Month!
Carole’s compassionate approach and dedication to our clients make her an exceptional member of the COHC team. She loves working at COHC because of the kind, approachable staff and the rewarding opportunity to help people with their daily needs, brighten their days, and make them feel safe and cared for. She especially enjoys the flexibility of being able to choose when and how long she works each day. She consistently goes above and beyond, creating personalized care experiences by truly connecting with our clients and respecting their unique needs. Her warm-hearted nature extends beyond her work, as she enjoys spending time outdoors on her farm, caring for animals, and cherishing moments with her family, including her grandchildren.

Carole's commitment to both her professional and personal passions is inspiring, and we are proud to have her as part of our team!

Recipe of the Month: Protein Egg Bites

These Protein Egg Bites are the perfect way to prep a week’s worth of breakfast in advance for your entire household. They aren’t just easy and filling but delicious and satisfying. Pull them out of the fridge or the freezer to heat up quickly before you hit the road (or home office!) and you won’t have to worry about spending an extra thirty minutes making and cleaning up after breakfast.

What we have been up to...

In Februaury we had the honor of being one of the many sponsors at the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba's Fundraising Gala .
It was a wonderful evening featuring many stories shared by people impacted by dementia and how our supports help them through their journey.
The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba exists so that all Manitobans affected by dementia receive the help they need today and have hope for the future.
As a province-wide organization, the Society seeks to achieve its mission through community awareness; individual, family and professional education; support programs and research funding.

Joke of the Month

A little silver-haired lady calls her neighbor and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get started."
Her neighbor asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?"
The little silver haired lady says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a rooster."
Her neighbor decides to go over and help with the puzzle.
She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table.

He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says, "First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a rooster." He takes her hand and says, "Secondly, I want you to relax. Let's have a nice cup of tea" and then he said with a deep sigh ............

"Let's put all the Corn Flakes back in the box."
