Tufts Cheer Showcase

In 2020, Tufts Cheer was slated to go to Nationals in Daytona, Florida. Join us on Friday, August 22, at 8 p.m. in the Cousens Gym as we show off our moves. We hope to see you there!

Announcements and Updates

2022 Boston Marathon Traffic and Safety Advisories

Street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect in Boston in the week leading up to the Boston Marathon. The Marathon and the Patriots' Day Parade will be held on Monday, April 18. Street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect in the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Brighton, Fenway-Kenmore, North End, and Government Center.
People going into the city for the events are urged not to drive their personal vehicles. Bluebike rentals and public transit are available. For a faster return trip, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) advises riders to purchase a round-trip rather than one-way ticket.

Academic Reminders

Registration for Fall 2022 courses begins this week! Double-check your specific enrollment day and time in SIS and make sure all holds have been lifted.
If you need additional advising support for registration, visit drop-in advising this week! Senior Academic Advisors for the School of Engineering will hold drop-in advising at the Kindlevan Café on Thursday, April 21, at 10:30–11:30 a.m. You can view the Liberal Arts drop-in advising schedule and Zoom link.

Complete the Tufts Attitudes About Sexual Conduct Survey by April 30

Your responses will help us identify, address, and resolve concerns about climate, culture, and other aspects of campus life that contribute to sexual misconduct. Help us create a safe environment for you and our entire community. Respond today!

Summer Housing

On-campus housing is available this summer to students who are:
  1. Taking in-person classes at Tufts, performing research, or engaging in other approved academic activities this summer
  2. Students who are working at an internship or job in the Boston area this summer
Students who don't meet that criteria might consider subletting in the area. Residential Life provides a Canvas site to connect Tufts students who are looking to sublease their room or apartment with students who are looking for a place to stay over the summer. More information about subleasing is available from Residential Life's off-campus information page and off-campus housing listings website.

Summer Meal Plans

Any student is welcome to sign up for a summer meal plan, whether they are living on or off campus this summer.

Make Your Videos and Audio Files Accessible to All

Tufts is committed to providing accessible videos and audio files. The easiest way to do this is to use closed captioning—a technique of displaying the captioned text when needed. Tufts' Captioning Policy applies to all videos and audio files created or posted after June 30, 2022 and requires that all videos and audio files created for use by the Tufts community include closed captioning. For most video and audio, closed captioning is easy to do and costs nothing.

Apply for the Tufts Green Fund

Want to improve sustainability on your campus? Students can apply for funding to lead sustainability projects on all campuses, up to $40,000!
Solar panels, hydroponic systems, art installations, social justice events—the Office of Sustainability welcomes all ideas and project proposals for the Tufts Green Fund. This is your chance to make a big difference.
