THE BEST SPRING BREAK

*Get some good rest and relaxation.

*Spend some time reflecting on how your semester has gone thus far – develop a plan for the rest of the semester.

*Do some studying, reading, writing for your classes each day.

*Try to talk with any health professional you can about their work, its rewards, its frustrations and what they think is required to be happy and successful in their field.

SUMMER COURSES

Pre-health students often consider taking summer courses. You may take one of your four pre-health sequences in the summer. It is best not to take more than one. Summer courses may or may not be the best route to pursue such requirements.
Things to Consider
* What am I forfeiting in income or experience by taking a summer course?
* Will this course prepare me well for future courses, standardized tests, and professional school?
* Can I take the class at Tufts or get transfer credit at Tufts? (Use SIS’s Transfer of Credit process to request this)
* Avoid taking a science course at a much less rigorous institution if you need to build on it at Tufts. It is best to do your whole 4-course chemistry sequence at Tufts since we have a somewhat unique sequence.
* Avoid splitting courses (e.g. taking Chem 1 at home in the summer and Chem 2 at Tufts during the year).

Our website has information on course requirements including using prematric credits, doubling up in sciences, and more

TUFTS OUT IN STEM

Tufts Out in STEM (oSTEM) is hosting a panel featuring LGBTQ+ scientists in the local Boston area. Aspiring scientists in grad school with queer and/or other underrepresented identities will share their research, experiences, and advice at Tufts. Our goal is to build community for marginalized identities in STEM through representation. The event is set for Thursday, March 28 in the SEC Atrium from 6:30pm to 8pm. We will provide light snacks and refreshments.
