Welcome to Muddy Hutch 5K Race Week!
Here's the run-down of what to expect for our race this Saturday, Sept. 21. If you haven't registered yet, you can still do so in person at Hutch Rec Downtown, 17 E. 1st (through Friday at 5p) as well as on event morning inside the South Entrance of Fun Valley Sports Complex.

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP & WAVE SIGN-UP
Starting at 9 a.m. inside the SOUTH ENTRANCE of the Fun Valley Sports Complex, participants may pick up their packets and sign up for a wave time. Participants must only represent themselves at wave time sign up; they will not be able to sign up for another participant. The first wave will start at 10:30 a.m.
- The 5K course includes 24 man-made and natural obstacles. Click here for a course map and obstacle details. Obstacles will involve running/walking, crawling, climbing, wading, and jumping. (NOTE: With all of the rain we've had this summer, the course has more water than ever before. There will be a few re-routes along the course to keep participants safe).
- Bring bug spray - mosquitoes are out and thick, so be prepared!
- Race waves start at 10:30 a.m. Groups will go off every 5 to 10 minutes dependent upon when the racers clear the first obstacle.
- Each participant will receive a timing chip at packet pick-up and wave sign-up. Be ready to race at least 15 minutes ahead of your time in case we are running ahead of schedule. Return your chip after you have crossed the finish line. Official results will be available through Timer Guys.
- Participants 21 years and older will receive a complimentary beer after the race, thanks to our title sponsor City Beverage. A ticket will be in your race packet to show at the beer pavilion area near the finish line.
- Concessions and adult beverages are available for purchase at the finish line for both spectators and participants, including $2 Michelob Ultras.
REFUNDS & INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
In the event of inclement weather, we will have all weather delays and/or cancellations available on our
Hutch Rec RainOut line. Rain will not cancel the race, however if we experience lightning or weather that is dangerous to participants, we will delay the race accordingly.
Due to the magnitude of this race, no refunds will be issued. This is common special event/race practice and we appreciate your cooperation.
