Raju Datla, PI, Davidson Lab and CEOE Research Associate Professor, received an E-Wave Technologies LLC award of $95K for his project “Wave Tank Testing for Power Capture Optimization and Slamming Wave Force Estimation of a Paddle-type Wave Energy Converter Retrofitted into a Floating Aquaculture Infrastructure.” 

Mohammad Ilbeigi, PI and CEOE Assistant Professor, George Korfiatis, Co-PI and CEOE Professor, and Carlo Lipizzi, Co-PI, SSE Teaching Associate Professor, received a Siemens Financial Services award of $54,985 for their project "AI-Enhanced Platform for Financing Sustainability Projects: Proof of Concept.” 

Pin-Kuang Lai, PI and CEMS Assistant Professor, received an award of $90K from the Biomolecular Interaction Technologies Center (BITC), University of Delaware for his project “Applying Molecular Dynamics Simulations and Machine Learning to Predict Antibody-Drug Developability and Bioavailability.” 

Matthew Libera, PI and CEMS Professor and Hongjun Wang, Co-PI, Director of CHI and BME Professor, received an SES ACE Program award of $25K for their project “ACE: Engineering Domain Leadership to Develop an NSF ERC.” 

Hady Salloum, PI, Director of the Maritime Security Center, and ECE Research Professor, received an award of $1.05M for his project "Agricultural Security, Unmanned Aerial Systems, and Maritime Cybersecurity." 

Dibyendu “Dibs” Sarkar, PI and CEOE Professor, received an NJDEP award of $250K for his project “Watershed-based Restoration and Protection Plans and Implementing Green Infrastructures in New Jersey Lakes.” This award is part of a major project in partnership with NJIT (prime) and Rutgers University.

Hongjun Wang, PI, Director of CHI and BME Professor, received a US Army Medical Research and Material Command award of $240K for his project “Mechanical Properties of the Demyelinated Central Nervous System: A Barrier to Remyelination?" This award is part of a major project in partnership with Hunter College (prime).

Susanne Wetzel, PI and CS Professor, received a National Security Agency award of $666,487 for her project “2022 NCAeC-001.” This award is in partnership with California State University San Bernardino (prime).

Jia Xu, PI and CS Assistant Professor, received an Amazon AlexaPrize Grant Program award of $250K for her project “Never Alone With Me.”
