While many Texans bundled up and turned on the heat for the cold weather, volunteers with the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research and staff from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department monitored the bays and shorelines, wading through cold water in search of cold-stunned sea turtles.
“Galveston Unscripted” creator and host J.R. Shaw premiered his biggest project yet: a feature-length film about the Galveston-Texas City Pilots Association.
This summer, cadets, crew, faculty and staff will depart Galveston on May 18, docking in New York City, New York; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Halifax, Nova Scotia and Portland, Maine before returning to Galveston.
