St. Mary's Clinic featured in Chattanooga newspaper
Chattanooga Times Free Press reporter Wyatt Massey recently profiled the St. Mary's Legacy Clinic in a story about rural healthcare and the challenges uninsured patients face when seeking treatment. The St. Mary's Clinic, the staff and volunteers who provide frontline care, and the donors who help support it financially, are testaments to the ongoing commitment of the Diocese of Knoxville to bring the healing ministry of Jesus to those in East Tennessee who are in dire need of affordable medical care. Pictured is Sr. Mariana Koonce, RSM, the medical director of the St. Mary's Legacy Clinic.
Please support deacon formation online or
during
special collection this weekend

A special collection to support deacon formation will be taken at Masses this weekend. This collection helps support a five-year program for the formation of permanent deacons for the Catholic Church in East Tennessee. Deacons bring the Gospel and the gift of themselves to soup kitchens, food banks, prisons, hospitals – serving in their parish and in the community. We are blessed with 74 permanent deacons serving in 35 parishes in the diocese. Currently, 25 men are in deacon formation classes and could someday serve your parish. Please consider making a gift at Mass or give online today. Deacons and aspirants to the diaconate discuss their call to serve the Church and the Diocese of Knoxville the video link above.
