Two Awarded Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grants

Miami students Lindsey Brinkman (Primary Education, Class of 2024) and Evan Moody (Finance and Entrepreneurship, Class of 2025) were recently awarded study abroad grants from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Global Initiatives Staff Present at NAFSA Conference

Two Global Initiatives staff members presented at the recent NAFSA Conference, held May 30-June 2 in Washington, DC. Director of global partnerships Karla Guinigundo served as chair and presenter for "Higher Education Internationalization in India: Charting a Path Forward." Program Coordinator Alicia Castillo Shrestha served as chair and presenter for "Comprehensive Internationalization: Experiences from Designing and Implementing Credentialing Programs."

Batchelor Selected for Fulbright Specialist Program
|
|
|
|
Coordinator of Adolescent and Young Adult Education and Associate Professor Katherine Batchelor (Teaching, Curriculum, and Educational Inquiry) has been accepted to the Fulbright Specialist roster, with a future project to be determined. A program of the U.S. Department of State and World Learning, the Fulbright Specialist Program is a unique opportunity for U.S. academics and established professionals to engage in two- to six-week, project-based exchanges at host institutions across the globe.
