I'm over the moon to share that the response to the HUMAN NATURE Exhibition has been so strong that the show has been extended into January 2023! An expansive thank you to SHACK15, The National Women's History Museum and Women Connect4Good for helping to bring this all to life.

The lightbox ABOVE AND BEYOND, at the top of the newsletter, makes me think of my father, who used to say “Ad astra” which means “Reach for the stars” in Latin. It is what we put on his headstone which lies among the wildflowers near where I grew up. Ken and I also encourage our daughters to go ABOVE AND BEYOND what's asked of them.

We had a fantastic turnout in the rain for the public tour day this past Saturday. And now that the show has been extended (yeah!) we have more tours that I will lead coming in January, both online and in-person.

Those of you in the Bay Area, tonight I'm in conversation with Artist Randy Colosky at the Saint Joseph's Arts Society. Randy is a fantastic artist who helped install HUMAN NATURE, and it will be terrific to explore his work and the GIVE AND TAKE exhibition.

Let There Be Lightboxes

This is the season of light, and I’m excited to share more about another medium that I explore in the show: mixed media lightboxes. As a filmmaker, I think of these lightboxes as capturing a moment in cinema. I love watching people as they stand in front of them, taking them in. And it's been great to see people getting lightboxes as gifts for others for the holidays. Nothing could make me happier. The gift of light and art.

The lightboxes come in 3 sizes: 11.5" x 16", 24" x 36", and 6' x 9'. if you're interested in the art, please email Sawyer Steele art@tiffanyshlain.com

We are also in production on tree ring editions:
For the month of December, my pyrographers and I are also busy burning away at the editions of tree rings that have sold. Each and every letter, stenciled, burned, and loved. :)
