Your Voice Matters! Join Us for ELEVATE

Hello Jumbos!

We invite you to learn more about ELEVATE, a game-changing campaign to build a future where everyone can thrive by advancing inclusive excellence at Tufts. This initiative is led by the Office of the Vice Provost for Institutional Inclusive Excellence (IIE), and they would like to invite you to voice your opinions by joining them at an upcoming Community Engagement Session.

The ELEVATE campaign aims to shape the future of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and access (DEIJA) efforts at Tufts by aligning and coordinating our efforts across the university.

What does this mean exactly? We're kicking off the campaign this fall with a series of Community Engagement Sessions where we invite the Tufts community to share their perspectives and feedback as it relates to creating an inclusive university. This feedback will inform a set of aligned university-wide DEIJA goal recommendations, which we will share with the community to then begin implementation in spring 2025. We will continue to evaluate and reassess these goals moving into the following academic years to best reflect our communities' needs over time.

Your voice is a critical component of this initiative! We believe that this work must be informed and guided by what you, as a deeply valued member of the Tufts community, think is most important in order to thrive. Your voice will not only help to shape this initiative but will also help to shape a more inclusive future at Tufts.

In order to make effective and transformative change at Tufts, we need everyone at all levels to take action, whether it's by learning more about how to create an inclusive environment or by actively taking action to address inequities and exclusionary practices when they take place around you.

The most important thing you can do right now to get involved is attend an upcoming Community Engagement Session. Here, you will be able to share your voice in a guided workshop, and you will have the opportunity to learn more about what it means to create inclusive environments so you can begin taking action right away!

Whether you're passionate about creating a more inclusive environment, advocating for change, or simply sharing and making your experiences known, this is the perfect platform to contribute. Join us in person or virtually at one of these upcoming sessions:
