Faith Family,

There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 7.

We wanted to remind you that when your child is sick, he/she should not come to school.

If your child has been sick and has improved, he/she cannot come back to school until you communicate with the school office about symptoms. In order to try and stay on top of the situation, parents must be forthright and willing to communicate with the school. The school will give clearance to come back. Please call the school office to discuss these matters. A teacher cannot give clearance for a student to come back after being sick.

In a normal year, we simply require a note for sickness, but this is not a normal year. Our goal is not to just be back to school; it is to stay in school. FCS has employed the services of a Covid-19 consultant. We run numerous scenarios by the consultant in a week. Please do not be offended when FCS has to say that a child has to be tested to come back to school. We are looking out for the health of all students and staff. FCS is seeking to follow protocol to keep the environment as safe as possible. Guidelines are changing around the virus continually; so, it is necessary that FCS have a consultant who is well-versed and up-to-date with guidance.

FCS is immensely thankful for the gracious spirit from our staff, parents, and students this school year. We ask that you continue to work with us to make this year safe and as normal as possible.

The HS Wilds Trip, Tuesday, September 8 - Friday, September 11

We are looking forward to our 10th-12th Grade students attending The Wilds Camp next week. Please pray for safety and for the Lord to work in their lives.

Any student who has not turned in the Wilds Registration Form, the COVID Screening Form and the $170 for the trip must have these items on Tuesday morning.

Please remember that we are agreeing to abide by The Wilds dress code. Girls and boys must wear shorts to the top of the knee. Please help us by making sure your children have long shorts packed for the trip.

Don't forget to send a few masks to wear during the trip.

Practice Lockdown

Each year we will have practice lockdowns. We will be having our first practice with the Randolph County Sheriff's Dept. on Friday, September 18. We didn't want you alarmed if your child comes home talking about our practice sessions.

Afterschool Care

There will be no afterschool care at this point, but we will reassess the situation again in a couple of weeks and make a decision if afterschool care can be provided.

Absence and Tardy Notes

On the day following an absence, please send a note with your child to school giving the reason for the absence. This will help us with records on school attendance. Tardy notes are also encouraged.

Please turn in your Eagle spirit shirt orders right away! Our Eagle Club is offering both youth and adult sizes in three colors.

How Can You Help Us at Dropoff and Pickup?

Please drive in and out very slowly during pickup and dropoff. We want to ensure the safety of everyone, and we will continue to assist in getting students in and out quickly.

Pre-pay Lunch Accounts

This year the school will are using the FACTS SIS Lunch System. It is similar to our past systems. In your Family Portal, under the "Financial" tab, you will see that you have a PRE-PAY account. We are handling as little money as possible. You may add money directly from your bank account or credit card to your PRE-PAY Lunch Account. You have two options for ordering lunch: 1) You may order through the Family Portal Lunch calendar; or 2) in the morning at homeroom. The lunch orders will be deducted from your PRE-PAY Account.
