UT Prepares to Adopt New Research Management Software: DASH Research
|
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville along with sister campuses across the UT System, is preparing to shift to the full Huron Research Suite, which will be called “Dynamic Administrative Systems for Higher Education (DASH) Research” at UT. DASH Research will replace several current programs, including IRIS, iMedRIS, and Cayuse. In making this transition, UT joins more peer R1 institutions who rely on HRS as the gold standard in research management software.

Research Integrity Tools and Resources Available to UT Researchers
|
Researchers at UT have access to a wealth of resources through the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP), which is responsible for ensuring ethical conduct in research involving human subjects. The HRPP offers UT researchers a host a services such as virtual office hours, educational workshops, guest lecturing in classes, and public-use data sets. This invaluable resource not only helps researchers comply with federal regulations and ethical standards, but also offers crucial support in navigating the complexities of human research.

NSF Mandates Use of SciENcv for Proposal Biographical Sketches, Current and Pending (Other) Support Documents
|
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced that SciENcv will be the only accepted format for biographical sketch and current and pending (other) support documents for new proposals submitted or due on or after October 23, 2023. SciENcv offers multiple benefits, including tailored biographical sketches, easy ORCID account linking for precise publication selection, and streamlined updates for projects. This change aligns with NSF’s commitment to modernizing and improving the proposal submission process.
