NYU Welcome hosts an exciting variety of events and initiatives to support your transition to NYU and connect you with other students to discover your community. New Student Send-Offs

You can meet fellow incoming students and families this summer at an upcoming New Student Send-Off! As you begin your new chapter at NYU, Send-Offs are an opportunity to connect with other Violets from your area. Also, you can bring 2 guests with you!

Find Your People: Project OutReach

Program Dates: August 20-25, 2023

Application Deadline: June 10, 2023

Project OutReach brings together service-minded students to learn about and perform service throughout New York City, reflect on your experiences, and participate in ethical leadership development rooted in social justice. Selected students who are planning to live on campus will qualify for early move-in on August 20. Apply to participate. This is a great way to make new friends in a meaningful way even before fall classes start!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When do I need to be on campus for fall semester? When does orientation start?
Welcome Weekend and Move-In is August 26 and 27. If you are moving into on-campus housing, you will receive information in Mid-July with your housing assignment and move-in date and time. You can expect your academic orientation to start either August 27 or 28. Over the summer, more details about orientation and course registration will be sent to you by your school.

Are there other dates and deadlines I should be aware of?

I have a random question and I'm not sure where to go.
