Dear :

It was just nine months ago that you received a similar message from me – “We’re moving”.  On December 15, the team will be packing up and heading to RMMFI’s new office at the Mile High United Way building (711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205).  We understand that change can be disruptive and we hope this transition will be relatively smooth for everyone.  The United Way facility is a known location for our entrepreneurs (we’ve been delivering our core programming there for the majority of 2015) and RMMFI is an Impact Investment Partner with the Mile High United Way.

We are looking forward to the contributions we can make to their work and the positive impact we can see for our entrepreneurs.
One thing that remains in constant focus for RMMFI is the concept of access.  It is the lack of access to mainstream entrepreneurial support services that initially created the need for microfinance and, ultimately, RMMFI.  Access remains a focal point for the organization and it is important for RMMFI to live this value in all aspects of its operations.  While being downtown is incredible and exciting, it is not so accessible for the RMMFI Entrepreneur or the staff.  On the edge of 5 Points and the north end of Denver, RMMFI’s new office location brings a whole new level of accessibility to the RMMFI Entrepreneur, not only physical, but also from the connectivity to the incredible United Way programs and community of Impact Partners.
RMMFI is extremely thankful to our partners at the Colorado Lending Source (CLS).  RMMFI was forced with a hard decision in March and one that many of our entrepreneurs are faced with on a daily-basis – “We cannot afford to stay in the neighborhood in which we call home.”  Given the reality of the shifting landscape of rental rates experienced in the RiNo neighborhood, Mike and his team from CLS created a wonderful opportunity for RMMFI to not miss a step and to be a part of CLS’s new headquarters on 18th and Blake.  Albeit short-lived, RMMFI was honored to be part of CLS’s vision for developing a robust entrepreneurial culture in Denver and will to continue to do so after the move.
Please know that RMMFI is as strong as ever and this move represents another step forward in the achievement of RMMFI’s vision to create economic and social mobility through entrepreneurship.   RMMFI’s strength is rooted in the very community in which you play such an incredible role.  Thank you for your support, patience, and flexibility during the move, and for your ongoing commitment, investments, and enthusiasm for RMMFI’s mission, our team, and the RMMFI Entrepreneur. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Sincerely,
Rob Smith
