Instructional Assistant Opportunities

This session describes the ways students may gain practical teaching experience, as an Instructional Apprentice, under the mentorship of a Biology course instructor.  An overview of the application process, a faculty member’s viewpoint on the experience, and a student’s perspective on participation will be shared. Open to students interested in practical teaching experience at the collegiate level.

The Division of Biological Sciences offers a contiguous program leading to a Master of Science Degree in Biology for current UCSD undergraduate students who are enrolled in any of the 8 Biology majors.

ONLY open to current biology majors.

The BioScholars program is designed to connect students to the resources of a large university while providing an intimate collegiate atmosphere. BioScholars provides challenging intellectual and leadership opportunities for academically excelling undergraduates majoring in the Biological Sciences. Exceptional admission is possible for transfer and continuing students if the applicant has at least a 3.7 minimum cumulative GPA. Application deadline is Nov. 1, 2017.
