SHOWER RESIDENTS WITH LOVE THIS VALENTINE'S DAY
Help make a senior’s day brighter this Valentine’s Day by creating or sending a heartfelt card! Throughout February, we’ll be sharing these special messages with our healthcare and apartment residents—and we’d love your help.
Everyone is welcome to participate, no matter your age or artistic ability. Children are encouraged to be creative and have fun, and adults are invited to share thoughtful, encouraging words that reflect the respect we have for our residents.
A quick note: Our residents especially treasure messages that are warm, sincere, and kind. Please write as you would to an older adult you admire. Simple, heartfelt words mean so much. We kindly ask that cards focus on encouragement and avoid baby talk or overly “cute” language.
If you’d like help or ideas, please email mktgc@warmhearth.org.
Please drop off your cards at the Village Center at Warm Hearth, 2387 Warm Hearth Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24060, by Thursday, February 12.
No sign-up is needed—just bring your creativity and kindness!

MUSIC BRINGS MEMORIES TO LIFE AT THE ARBOR
Music has a special way of connecting us to our memories and to one another. For individuals living with dementia, a familiar song can spark recognition, bring comfort, and create moments of joy.
In the Arbor at the Kroontje Health Care Center, music is an important part of daily life. Through regular visits from musicians and engaging programs, residents are encouraged to connect, participate, and feel supported.
Along with specially trained caregivers and personalized care, The Arbor provides a warm, secure environment where residents feel safe and valued.
We are currently welcoming new residents into our Memory Care suites.
