CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Intermittent Traffic Delays on Gilman Drive due to Erosion Repair and Parking Lot Construction
Project Purpose The Erosion Repair and Parking Lot project will repair an eroded slope to the south of the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Hospital and construct a new parking lot to provide approximately 350 additional parking spaces.
Location and Duration The project site is bound by the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Hospital to the north, Interstate 5 to the east, La Jolla Village Drive to the south, and Villa La Jolla Drive to the west. The erosion repair and parking lot construction work will be completed on July 13, 2021.
Immediate Parking Lot, Street Traffic, and Pedestrian Impacts Intermittent increases in construction traffic on Gilman Drive may cause traffic delays.
Please reduce speeds and exercise caution when traveling near work crews and construction areas. See a map of the affected area.
