Jimmy Carter Boulevard Beautification
Gateway85 CID is almost halfway through our planting of approximately 450 crepe myrtles along Jimmy Carter Boulevard between Buford Highway and I-85. These tree plantings are part of a larger beautification project that will include the section of Jimmy Carter Boulevard from I-85 to Britt Road. The addition of these new trees will make the main corridor of our community appear more like a parkway of which we can be proud.

In our very own district is the tale of two companies – Eagle Rock Distributing Company and Eagle Rock Studios. The common thread between the two is Max Hannum, director of Human Resources, and Gateway85’s board member.
If you’re not familiar with Eagle Rock Distributing Company, it is a full-service beverage distribution company servicing licensed retailers across Georgia and Colorado. Eagle Rock distributes brands from the likes of Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, New Belgium, Monday Night Brewing, Jekyll Brewing, Red Hare Brewing, Reformation Brewery, Wild Leap, Sparkling Ice, Essentia, Nestle, Barrell Bourbon, Wilderness Trail and Scotto Cellars to name a few. Eagle Rock Distributing Company is actively involved in community outreach and Operation One Voice.
Also prominently featured in our district is Eagle Rock Studios, which is the largest stage complex under one roof in the United States with 465,000 square feet of space. The facility includes two furnished production offices and four 30,000 sq. ft. stages, including 20,000 sq. ft. clear span, each with silent air conditioning and 4,000 amps. There are 50 loading docks surrounding the facility providing easy access to 100,000 sq. ft. of storage and 40,000 sq. ft. of supporting areas including shops, holding and catering areas.
Max Hannum, who graduated from the University of West Florida’s College of Business in 2005, began in financial advising services and later moved into human resources, where he was a vice president of HR at JCI Jones Chemicals, before joining Eagle Rock Distributing Company in 2014. We are lucky to have Max on our board and have Eagle Rock Distributing Company and Eagle Rock Studios as partners!

| Emory Morsberger Wins Professional Excellence CID Award from Council for Quality Growth

The Council for Quality Growth will recognize Gateway85 Executive Director Emory Morsberger with the Professional Excellence CID award in honor of his successful career of leadership, dedication and professional excellence in serving metro area CIDs. The 2022 CID Recognition event is November 15 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Comcast Rooftop in The Battery.

Gateway85 CID member Link Logistics will be hosting an Operation Christmas Child processing center for Samaritan’s Purse at their 2000 Mountain Industrial Boulevard property this holiday season. Collection and short-term volunteer efforts will begin the third week of November.
Every year, Samaritan’s Purse collects shoeboxes filled with small gifts and necessities like hygiene items and school supplies for children in need around the world. For many children, this is their first-ever Christmas gift.
Samaritan’s Purse is an international, nondenominational Christian relief organization that provides aid to people in physical need, including disaster relief aid.

Norcross New Businesses
Norcross welcomes five new businesses this fall including Truck & Tap, CleanSpark and B&W Burger, which is hosting a grand opening in November 2022! Two more businesses, Refuge Coffee and Butter & Cream, have signed on to be part of the new South End development in the city’s historic downtown.
Urban Engineers moves to Peachtree Corners
Surveying and Civil Engineering company Urban Engineers is moving to Peachtree Corners. The city’s convenient location and access to the surrounding area convinced company owners to relocate from their Atlanta office.
Peachtree Corners Electric Car Show
At the end of September, Peachtree Corners hosted its first all-electric car show. Read more about this event here.
EV Charging Firm Noodoe to Install Charging Stations in Peachtree Corners
Earlier this month, Noodoe broke ground on three new charging station sites slated for installation in the city. Read more here.
