Basketball Game Day Parking Restrictions Start Tuesday |
With KU Men’s Basketball’s first home exhibition game on Tuesday, KU Parking is reminding faculty and staff of game day parking restrictions.
Parking lots 20, 31, 54, 70, 71, 72, 90, 93, 117, 118, 125 and 127, along with the Allen Fieldhouse and Central District garages, will be used for game parking. All vehicles that do not have a game parking permit must be removed from these lots before 5:30 p.m. on weeknights and 8 a.m. on Saturdays of game days.
The parking fine for being in these parking lots after the restricted time is $100, which increases $10 each time a ticket is issued.
Students with valid permits who are on campus for academic purposes can park in most parking lots north of Jayhawk Boulevard or in lots 34, 38, 61 and 62 after 3:30 p.m. on game days during the week. Faculty and staff with valid permits may also park in lots 6, 7, 17, 35, 37, 41 and 129. See a map of game day restrictions.
To help remember to move vehicles from restricted lots on game day, Outlook calendar reminders can be imported for both Windows and Mac.

Think Before You Click: Password Hygiene & MFA |
As Cybersecurity Awareness Month concludes, KU Information Technology highlights the ongoing importance of strong passwords and multi-factor authentication.
Although KU systems are protected by Duo, many employees use external platforms, such as cloud storage, communications tools or software services that fall outside KU’s security coverage. Protecting those accounts helps reduce risk to both personal and university information.
|
Ways to Strengthen Account Security:
|
- Create long, unpredictable passwords or passphrases.
- Avoid reusing passwords across accounts.
- Enable multi-factor authentication whenever it is available.
- Use a password manager to generate and store unique passwords.
-
Deny unexpected Duo pushes, which may indicate a compromised password.
|
Strong password and MFA habits provide essential protection for all accounts, on and beyond KU systems.

SEHP Open Enrollment Ends Friday |
Employees have until midnight Friday to enroll in the 2026 State Employee Health Plan.
This is an active enrollment, meaning all employees with current coverage or wishing to have coverage in 2026 must enroll through the Membership Administration Portal (MAP). Members who have waived coverage will remain waived unless they enroll.
Please see the SEHP Open Enrollment Guide to review changes for 2026 and to select a plan.
When logging into MAP, employees on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses should choose from the drop-down menu the "University of Kansas" and not the "University of Kansas Medical Center." KU single sign-on is required to access MAP.

| Reminder: Set Goals and Review Progress in MyTalent |
Establishing performance goals is an important part of the employee evaluation process. Now is a great time to review goals, assess progress, realign objectives and set new goals.
Remember that goals are most effective when employees establish mutually agreed-upon goals with their supervisor and then document them in the MyTalent goal plan. The fiscal year goal plan runs from July 1 to June 30.

KU Parking Updates Directions for Delivery Drivers |
Thanks to a Jayhawks Elevate idea, KU Parking has updated its instructions to streamline deliveries on the Lawrence campus. Delivery drivers can stop by any information booth to obtain a free, 20-minute delivery permit, which will allow them to park in any color-zone stall, loading stall or garage stall to deliver goods to customers.
Delivery drivers should never park or block ADA-accessible stalls or access ramps and should not park in individually reserved parking spaces that are marked with signage. Drivers will be subjected to tickets if they do so. For further information about deliveries, please email KU Parking at kupark@ku.edu.
Jayhawks Elevate is a continuous improvement program that enables employees to bring ideas forward on how KU can be more cost-effective, improve efficiency, enhance experiences and generate revenue. Visit Jayhawks Elevate to see success stories, ongoing projects and to submit an idea.
