Children’s Minnesota Hospital – St. Paul
Children's Minnesota St. Paul campus continues to serve pediatric patients in the community, offering emergency care as a Level IV trauma designation, inpatient and outpatient services, surgical services and Level III NICU expertise. Our neonatal experts at the St. Paul NICU care for babies who are extremely premature, with the full range of Children’s Minnesota pediatric sub-specialties providing bedside care, including neurology, ENT, cardiology, general surgery, neurosurgery and more.
Sickle Cell Program Leadership Update
We are thrilled to announce that Derrick L. Goubeaux, DO, has accepted the role of Sickle Cell Program Medical Director.  Dr. Goubeaux joined the hematology-oncology team at Children's Minnesota in 2019. He will lead a strong multidisciplinary team that has specialized expertise in the care of the unique individual needs of this patient population.

Helping more kids live well: Children’s Minnesota expanding access to pain program
When your child is in pain, you want fast answers and effective treatment that helps your child feel better. That’s why Children’s Minnesota is making changes to improve access within the Pediatric Pain, Palliative Care and Integrative Medicine Program.

Thanks to recent operational changes, the program can now see more patients and treat a wider variety of conditions. Kids can also get in for appointments faster and experience shorter, more efficient visits.
New multi-specialty Stoke Clinic at Children’s Minnesota
Launched at the beginning of 2020, Children’s Minnesota Stroke Clinic provides comprehensive care for patients with history of stoke, acute post-event evaluations and long-term management. Our multidisciplinary approach combines the expert specialists all in one visit to meet the needs of each child: hematology, neurology, neurosurgery, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

You're invited to the Fetal Cardiology Virtual Workshop. This four-hour virtual course is designed to educate medical providers involved in the care of pregnant women on the indications, screening views, and common anomalies seen in fetal congenital heart disease. Additionally, we will cover basic spectral Doppler evaluation of the fetal vessels (including MCA, ductus venosus, and umbilical cord) as well as a collaborative approach to fetal evaluation in complex medical disease. Sign up now!

Hematology specialist Dr. Garland talks about what we know about clotting in kids with COVID, which kids are most vulnerable, and which kids, and at what ages, should be put on thromboprophylaxis to prevent clotting complications.
