The Yellow Jackets are officially headed to the Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando later this month. They'll face Brigham Young University in the first meeting of the two schools since 2013. Perhaps most importantly, the Pop-Tarts Bowl is the only one with a trophy that required electrical engineers for its design — and somehow, that seems fitting.

On Friday, 2,640 applicants were offered admission in the Early Action 1 round. Some students were surprised with in-person delivery of their acceptance letters.

A team of first-year computer science students earned second place at CodeLinc 10, a national 24-hour hackathon hosted by Lincoln Financial Group and Amazon Web Services. 

Kyle Grisamore felt like he was attending two different schools at times as he became the first Tech student to earn both an MBA and a master's degree in cybersecurity.
