Jason Rabinovitch (PI), ME Assistant Professor, received a NASA award of $767K for his project “To What Extent Does Enceladus' Plume Sample its Ocean: Insights from Conduit Flow Modeling.”

Jinho Kim (PI), BME Assistant Professor, received an NIH award of $623K for his project “Tissue Engineering Resource Center” (as part of a $6.8M P41 Center Grant in collaboration with Columbia University and Tufts University).

Mohammad Ilbeigi (PI), CEOE Assistant Professor, received an NSF award of $363K for his project “Collaborative Research: An AI-Enhanced System to Integrate Unstructured Observations with Formal Engineering Education.” 

Raju Datla (PI), Davidson Lab & CEOE Research Associate Professor, received an ONR award of $300K for his project “Development of a Costal Adaptation Monitoring and Modeling System for Navy Facility Resilience in Urban Waters,” with Monmouth University as prime.

Jacob Gissinger (PI), CEMS Assistant Professor, received an NSF award of $289K for his project “Collaborative Research: Frameworks: Enabling Reproducible Research in Soft Materials with the Multiscale Polymer Toolkit (MuPT).”

Yue Ning (PI), CS Assistant Professor, received an NSF award of $200K for her project “EAGER: A Domain-Informed Generative Framework for Joint Learning of Public Medical Knowledge and Individual Health Records.”

Dibyendu "Dibs" Sarkar (PI), CEOE Professor & SCS Director, received an NOAA award of $140K (via NJ Sea Grant Consortium) for his project “Synthesis and Assessment of Potential Green Infrastructure Retrofitting Materials for Adsorption and Photocatalytic Degradation of PFAS in Stormwater Runoff.” 

Long Wang (PI), ME Assistant Professor, received a Defense Health Agency (SBIR Phase 1) award of $83K for his project “Robotic End-Effector for Combat Casualty Care,” with Corvid Technologies as prime.

Weina Meng (PI), CEOE Associate Professor, has received a Gulf Research Program, National Academy of Sciences award of $75K for her project “2024 Early – Career Research Fellowship – Offshore Energy Safety.”  

In addition, she received an SES Bridge Program award of $20K for her project “Bridging Hardware Gap for Harnessing AI-powered Barnacle Inspired Coatings for Resilient and Sustainable Marine Energy Infrastructure.”

Weina Meng (PI), CEOE Associate Professor, and Yi Bao (Co-PI), CEOE Associate Professor, received an ACI Foundations award of $30K for their project “Development of Guidelines for Utilizing Nanotechnology in Building and Construction Industry.”

Shima Hajimirza, ME Associate Professor, is elected a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in recognition of her exceptional engineering achievements and contributions to the engineering profession and ASME.
