Stephen Mazza, dean of the School of Law, and Mary Banwart, associate vice provost for Faculty Affairs, will co-chair the search for the journalism and mass communications dean. A full list of the search committee can be viewed online.
The search committees will begin meeting in the coming weeks, with recruitment and vetting of potential candidates occurring in the fall and winter. Candidate finalists are expected to visit campus early in the spring semester. The 2026 fall semester is the target start date for the new deans.
Position descriptions, information on submitting candidate nominations and details on candidate visits and presentations will be posted on the leadership searches webpage.
