Portable Lead Testing

Quick and Easy Opportunity to Volunteer with your kids, grandkids, and/or staff

2020 LEAD TESTING DAYS

King County Medical Society is proud to announce the continuation of the Lead Testing Days Program with Public Health Seattle & King County. With your help, in 2019 we were able to provide free lead screening for hundreds of children. We’d like to invite you to volunteer at our 2020 Lead Testing Days events!
The testing will take place at a wide variety of fun and diverse community events. We had a great time last year working with our volunteers who always enjoyed themselves. Just a few hours of your time can make a difference to a large community. Without you, these events are not possible.

Please remember that your staff, kids, and neighbors can join us and get community service hours too!  Non-licensed volunteers can be very helpful by setting up the site, running the test on a LeadCare II portable blood lead analyzer, recording and notifying parents of blood lead level results, distributing educational materials, and handing out promotional giveaways.

If you and/or your staff are a licensed professional (MD, DO, PA, RN, MA, phlebotomist) please consider participating in testing children’s blood lead levels by simply performing capillary draws to collect blood samples.

To sign up, please click the link below and become involved in this important public health initiative. Any amount of time you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your consideration.
