The Unity Project 
A new RACC-funded project is pairing foster children and opportunity youth with artists to create original works of art for the Burnside Rocket Building. Taryn Sauer reports on The Unity Project and the youth empowerment nonprofit organization behind it, Color Outside the Lines. 

Meet Giyen Kim, City Arts Manager

With a public service career spanning nearly two decades, Giyen talks about her new role: working with RACC and city officials to ensure that the residents of Portland are getting value from their arts and culture investments.

Art & Power: Centering the Voices of Black Artists

Join us for the last Art & Power of 2019. Listen, learn and reflect as local artists Bethlehem Daniel, Carlos the Rollerblader, Christine Miller, and Mic Crenshaw discuss their experience as Black artists living, creating, and reclaiming space in Portland’s arts ecosystem, moderated by Renee Mitchell.

We invite you to join us and learn how RACC and the City invest taxpayer dollars to support culture, creativity and the arts—and to thank City Council for their support.
