With UHS’ move to an open hospital system, it will be vitally important that we support our Tulane physicians across the facilities through the referral of patients. This effort includes our hospital-based Medicine departments, including Radiology, Cardiac Imaging, and Pathology services, where you will have the opportunity to select TULANE.
FOR RADIOLOGY SERVICES: When ordering radiology services for your patients, simply add “TULANE READ” in the comment section of the order. Completed tests will be listed by ordering provider and forwarded to either the Tulane Radiology group or the private provider group based on Tax ID via an Epic worklist. If there is any doubt as to who will read the test, the comment section will give clarification.
FOR CARDIAC IMAGING AND PATHOLOGY SERVICES: When ordering for either of these services the process has been simplified. At the bottom of each order sheet in Epic, the ordering physician will have a choice between TULANE or the alternative group located at East Jefferson General Hospital. CHOOSE TULANE.
