New Measles Cases Reported in Sacramento Region

The California Department of Public Health is alerting healthcare providers about six recent cases of measles identified in Sacramento and Placer County. This represents the third outbreak of measles in California in 2026.
|
Providers should consider measles in any patient with a febrile rash and clinically compatible measles symptoms. Report suspected measles to Public Health by phone IMMEDIATELY. Do not wait for laboratory confirmation.
