Dear Graduate Students:
We'd like to introduce you to Laura Sandoval-Sweeney, the Graduate School counselor in the Counselors in Academic Residence (CARE) Program. CARE is a program of the Counseling and Mental Health Center that provides mental health services in academic offices to facilitate students’ academic and life goals.
As your Graduate School CARE Counselor, Laura is a licensed mental health professional who can help assess your needs and offer appropriate services. Laura will specialize in issues facing graduate students at the university. She is fluent in Spanish and can provide bilingual services to students who may feel more comfortable speaking in Spanish.
CARE Counselors hold office hours where you can consult, ask questions and learn about getting connected to counseling. Individuals are welcome to stop by in-person to the Peter T. Flawn Academic Center (FAC) 2.264 or call (512) 475-6151. Laura's office hours for the spring semester are Mondays from 11 a.m.-noon and Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Sincerely,
The Graduate School
