We often hear great travel stories from riders we meet in the dealership. We thought everyone should hear these great tales as we are all looking for new adventures whether a day trip or longer.
We would love to hear your favourite story with your bike, quad, side by side or sled? If you want to share and experience, drop us a quick note with pictures to illustrate, to content@mmperformance.com and we will feature your Travel Tale!

Couples Who Ride Indian Motorcycles Together ... |
|
|
Meet Laszlo (@laszlo_toth_1) and his wife Ciara (@ciara_toth15). We couldn't help but notice this Okanagan couple out on their bikes all summer - Laszlo on his Indian Challenger and Ciara riding her Indian Chief Bobber. Their travel tales were always interesting, but one excursion in particular caught our attention. We hope you enjoy their great story of Indian Motorcycle comradery.

MAKING UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES |
New Friends + 16 bikes + 1000 miles = RECORD |
|

I started chatting on Instagram with Calvin (@moto_cal_), an Indian Motorcycle Ambassador in Idaho. We began a friendly debate about the best windshield for an Indian Challenger motorcycle. Our conversation would resume periodically over various subjects from men's health and fitness, life issues and of course motorcycling. It got to the point of daily conversation of common interests.

During one of our conversations, Cal told me he was planning a record breaking ride. A group ride of 1,000 miles in 24 hours. I stated that if he put Ciara and I up for a few nights, we would ride down to meet them and take part. Even though he had never met us before, he instantly said "No problem!"
At first, I didn’t think it would actually happen as we both worked and didn’t want to take too much time off. We had several trips in mind over the course of the season. Long story short, we said let’s do it!. We rode down to Rigby, Idaho on a Thursday in one shot (1200 km). We took a well needed break and just hung out on Friday as Saturday was the big day!

We pretty much had zero sleep the night before due to a massive thunderstorm all night. We all got up at 3 a.m. to get ready and go meet the others. It was a sharp kickstands up at 4 a.m.
16 bikes, mostly Indian Motorcycle, made up of 14 men and two ladies, got going to attempt to break the previous record.
Everything went fairly well all day. No break downs whatsoever. Considering we had 16 bikes, this was very impressive. We were going anywhere between 100 - 140 km/hr for nearly
20 hrs straight.
After 19 hours and 36 minutes, we clocked 1,000 miles and broke the record.

This was an extremely challenging ride to complete, especially with a big group like that. Ciara and I are very proud to be able to be a part of this record. However I don’t think I’ll do another 1,000 mile day ever again ha ha.

Sunday we took a well-deserved rest. Monday, we rode home the remaining 1,200 km. We ended up riding just over 4,000 km in 5 days. It was a trip we will never forget. We made many new life-long friends we are very grateful for.
Riding motorcycles is so much more than just getting from A to B. For us, it is therapy. You can turn a bad day around with just a quick little ride. In the saddle is where we feel the most alive. It is our joint No. 1 passion to ride together. This is my third season with my Indian Challenger. I have over 50,000 km of therapy. We love everything about motorcycles. I can confidently say that we will never ride any other brand.
