YOUR WELLNESS

The great outdoors

Outdoor recreation - biking, camping, hiking, stargazing, hammocking, climbing, or just relaxing - is good for your mind, body, and social life. It prevents stress, allows you to build relationships with others, makes you more productive at work, and increases your self-esteem. In fact, "research shows that people who exercise regularly experience longer, deeper, more restful sleep." In turn, it'll give you more energy and better concentration.
Thankfully, we're here for you (and provide so many ways for you to get outside)! From climbing and biking opportunities to outdoor trips across the state, RecWell's Outdoor Adventures program helps to inspire lifelong adventure - whatever that means to you.
During the month of September and October, we're encouraging increased outdoor activity by competing against 97 other schools in the U.S. The AORE Campus Challenge is open to anyone, gives away free stuff, and provides an extensive list of outdoor activities - whether you're a beginner or advanced outdoor enthusiast!
