As we near the end of another cold, dark winter, February is a great time to get a check-up from the neck up – just in time for spring! Please join the University Counseling Center for National Eating Disorder Screening Day on February 23. Eating disorders affect all gender identities, and eating concerns can be a symptom of a larger mental health issue. Come to check on your mental health, learn about Counseling Center services, support a friend, or just for the free stuff! Times and locations can be found on the GVSU Events Calendar or UCC webpage. And join us for a special Body Image presentation at 7 p.m. on Instagram Live by following the University Counseling Center on Instagram.

American Red Cross
February Training
RecWell is partnering with American Red Cross to provide students hands-on training covering lifesaving skills that are intended for individuals to use in the workplace and schools.
Classes will take place through the end of February, and will combine lecture with interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a variety of environments. These are basic courses that do not meet any type of advanced or professional rescuer credentialing. Students who are interested in learning these skills, are invited to visit the RecWell website for more information on the trainings being offered.
