Iona University is proud to announce that its newly designed upper green will be named the Mehmel Green in recognition of a generous gift from Iona Trustee
Bob Mehmel '84 and his wife, Barbara Mehmel.

Anchored by the Blessed Edmund Rice Chapel, the Mehmel Green reimagines a former industrial area and creates a beautifully landscaped and vibrant green space that connects and unifies the campus.

Bob and Barbara Mehmel’s gift reflects their dedication to Iona and its mission, creating a meaningful new space for generations of Gaels to enjoy.

In the special installment of A View From the C-Suite featuring Ellen Jackowski, Chief Sustainability Officer at Mastercard, the event brought the campus community together to hear how one of the world’s leading companies is embedding sustainability and social impact into its business strategy — and what purpose-driven leadership looks like in practice.

Former Chief Executive Officer Benihana (Private Equity) and past Chief Executive Officer Morton’s Restaurant Group (NYSE)

Thomas J. Baldwin '78, '84MBA is the former CEO President and Board Member for Benihana, where he led 8,000 people and initiated and oversaw a major operational turnaround and brand reinvigoration. A veteran hospitality executive, he previously served as Chairman, CEO and President for Morton’s Restaurant Group, as well as senior leadership roles at several other global brands and companies.

Kristen Mosier, LMFT, '14MS is thrilled to announce the upcoming publication of her debut book, Restless: How to Stop Living an If-Only Life, published by Bridge City Books/PESI Publishing.

"The book explores the psychological and emotional roots of the "grass is greener" mindset, that restless sense that something better must be just around the corner, and offers readers a practical, compassionate path to finding meaning and fulfillment in the present moment.
