We have reached the home stretch for the bowling season. As we prepare for the postseason, there are a few things I’d like to bring to your attention.

State Qualifying Meet Assignments
State Qualifying Meet site and team assignments were posted on January 16th. Thanks to all of the schools and bowling centers that were willing to host state qualifying meets. Please note – there is one time change since the sites were released. The state qualifying meet at Camanche will start at 10:00 a.m., not 9:00 a.m.  as previously posted.

State Qualifying Manual
The state qualifying bowling manual can be downloaded by clicking here. Hopefully, it will cover all your questions about this meet. There are a few items in the manual that I would like to highlight.
Qualifying Team Entry Fee
A lineage fee of $100 must be paid by each school to the assigned host facility of each qualifying meet. Lineage fees must be paid prior to the start of the state qualifying meet.
Team State Qualifying
Teams will bowl 15 baker games and the top total pins advance to the State Meet. Class 3A and 2A state qualifying meets will compete at four sites with eight teams at each site. The top two teams at each site qualify for the State Team Tournament. Class 1A will compete at  eight sites with 6-8 teams at each site. The champion at each site qualifies for the state team meet.

Individual State Qualifying
Individuals at the state qualifying meet will bowl three games. The top eight scores from each Class 3A/2A site qualify for the State Individual Tournament for a total of 32 individual qualifiers. The top four scores from the eight 1A state qualifying meets would qualify for the state tournament for a total of 32 individual qualifiers.
