Graduate Student Spotlight: Grace Sarabia
The Mars 2020 Perseverance Rover is scheduled to land on Mars tomorrow, in search of signs of ancient microbial life. Searching for the presence of extraterrestrial life is at the heart of the research being done by Grace Sarabia, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Chemistry.

Asad Khattak, Beaman Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, is conducting research that may provide a basis for policymakers and others to improve motorcycle safety. Khattak is seeking to understand the variables that correlate with motorcycle crashes and injuries. 
Scientific Journals
UTIA Researchers have been awarded nearly $500,000 from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture to improve productivity, resiliency and overall health of eastern grasslands. The project seeks to change the overall health of these ecosystems by studying novel grassland systems across the eastern U.S.
