Dear Community,
We’re finally immersed in February! We made it.
I take the wide view of what Valentine’s Day is about: love of life, friends, animals, food, and all kinds of family (so grateful to have just hit 25 years since the day Ken and I met and fell in love).
All that being said, It’s been quite a month/year/2 years.
I know everyone is going through a lot. My January “a lot” included my car breaking down, a colonoscopy (highly recommend, colon cancer is the #2 cause of cancer death and they just lowered the screening age to 45), and lastly, a tech glitch that prevented me from receiving email responses from around a third of the people I was communicating with. As a friend told me, Mercury was in retrograde. (I’ll take any explanation.) All is now fixed, for now, and for anyone who didn’t get an email response from me, I’m sorry.
It also made me realize so much gets lost in the jet stream of life. Don’t take it personally if someone doesn’t respond. Maybe they didn’t see it or get it.
So now that we are firmly in February with the Omicon surge receding, my Kafkaesque email experience behind me, here’s to love, to lost email, and to giving people the benefit of the doubt.
The bright light in January was that we finished our first Future of Work + Well Being program with all of Clif Bar’s employees. It was fantastic! Over the course of four weeks, we explored:
- How to create a thriving remote/hybrid workplace
- The neuroscience behind creativity, productivity, and well being
- The history and future of work and technology
- The importance of unplugging regularly
- Meaning, purpose, your unique character, and the value of mentorship
We just started the program with Coca-Cola and are talking with other companies and organizations of all sizes. We can only do one a month so if you are interested, I would try to get on our calendar soon. Our next Zoom showcase walking through the 4-week program will be Thursday, Feb 17 11 am PT / 2 pm ET. You can sign up and find out more about the program and fees here.
In this monthly newsletter, films, podcasts, books, art shows, an important insight from a veterinarian about being there for your animals at end-of-life moments, and more.
Here’s to love,
