It's important to learn about candidates and issues before voting, but it can be hard to know where to start and what information to trust. Fortunately, there are a variety of high-quality sources of news and other information about candidates and issues. Check out our explainer on how to learn about candidates and issues.
-
Is it your first time voting? Or are you interested in learning more about how elections work in the U.S.? Do you want to learn about the electoral college, campaign finances, or the mechanics of how elections work? Check out a resource guide to Elections in the U.S.
-
This month, Mail Services has already received and processed over 600 mail-in ballots that were sent to students who live on campus and are voting by mail. And many states haven't started mailing ballots yet. Ballots and other election-related mail are given first priority by Mail Services, and we encourage you to pick your mail up as soon as you get a notification from them. This year, people who receive ballots in the mail are being given an I VOTED BY MAIL sticker when they pick up their mail, compliments of JumboVote and Tisch College.
- If you are planning to vote by mail but haven't yet requested your ballot, there is still time! You can register to vote or request a mail ballot now.
-
If you have received your ballot, JumboVote is hosting a Mail-In Ballot Party on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Rabb Room in Barnum Hall. You can fill out your ballot with friends, ask questions, and make an occasion out of mailing your ballot back to your state.
