The Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) recently released draft reports of the annual public infrastructure needs across the state as well as the fiscal capacity for fiscal year 2016-2017.  Those reports and video from the previous TACIR meeting can be found here.  
The State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE) has released its 2015-2016 annual assessment of education in Tennessee.  This report contains an overview of education gains in 2015 across the state, priorities for 2016, and individual district data.  Click here to read the report.  
In August 2015, the Nashville Are Chamber of Commerce launched Moving Forward, an initiative bringing together dozens of public agencies, elected leaders, community organizations, and stakeholders over the course of several months to discuss proposals for regional transit systems.  Moving Forward has issued its first report on regional transportation solutions.  To read the report, click here.  
FEMA has released the 2016 National Preparedness Report.  This is the annual status report summarizing the nation's progress toward reaching the National Preparedness Goal of a secure and resilient nation.  Click here to read the report. 
The Southern Legislative Conference (SLC) has released a research publication regarding broadband deployment and the role of state and local governments, specifically highlighting the laws within 10 southern states limiting municipal broadband infrastructure: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.  Click here to read the report.  
The Comptroller's Office of Research and Education Accountability (OREA) has created a new interactive map that provides information about K-12 online testing experiences in all 50 states.  You can find the interactive map here.
Also released by OREA is an online guide to make it easier to understand the new federal K-12 education law that replaced 2001's No Child Left Behind Act.  This guide combines infographics, charts, and embedded illustrations into one easy-to-navigate webpage.  Click here to view the guide.
