New Year Message to Alumni from Dean Detlev Zwick
| |
| Dear Schulich Alumni,
As we step into 2025, I hope this message finds you well and energized for the year ahead. I trust the holiday season provided a chance to unwind and spend time with loved ones after a year of achievements and progress.
This year promises exciting opportunities for our alumni community to connect, engage, and inspire. Your ongoing support and involvement remain crucial to Schulich’s success and contribute to the strength and vitality of our global alumni network.
To start the new year, you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students in several ways. You can take part in our Alumni2Student Mentorship Program and share your insights to help guide the next generation of Schulich leaders as they navigate their career journeys. Or you can participate in one of three Alumni2Student Speed Networking events taking place over the next several months. These sessions are designed to foster connections between alumni and students.
We are also bringing in the new year with a special celebration in Shanghai on January 18 to celebrate the incredible leadership provided by Jonathan Cheung (MBA ’73) over the past few decades and welcome Andrew Wu (MBA ’89) as the new Chapter Lead for China. The event features a Dean’s Leadership Dialogue with Andrew Wu, President of LVMH Greater China – don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to connect with fellow alumni and celebrate our vibrant Schulich community in China.
Let’s continue to build on Schulich’s momentum and strengthen the bonds that unite our alumni across the globe in the year ahead.
Wishing you and your families a joyful and prosperous New Year.
Warm regards,
Detlev Zwick
Dean & Tanna H. Schulich Chair in Digital Marketing Strategy

The event celebrated the strong partnership between EY and Schulich, bringing together alumni and current students for an evening of connection, insight, and inspiration. Thank you to Dr. Markus Giesler, Professor of Marketing at Schulich for captivating us with your keynote on how markets shape human behavior in the age of emerging technologies. Truly thought-provoking and energizing! A special thanks to our EY Chapter Ambassador Tristan Cammaert (MBA '03) for bringing us together and thank you to EY for hosting us.
