Celebrate Our Graduate and Professional Students

Our graduate students have been working hard studying, writing, teaching, creating, and researching. That's why this week we are celebrating them during Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week. The graduate school has a running list of recognitions for graduate teaching assistants on their website, and anyone can add their own.
Janis Terpenny has been selected as the next Wayne T. Davis Endowed Dean's Chair and dean of engineering. She will join UT this summer. Janis currently serves as the Peter and Angela Dal Pezzo Chair and head of the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. She will join the university August 1.
Three students have made it to the final round in the 3 Minutes to Win It Research Challenge, a competitive showcase of UT’s undergraduate researchers that takes place annually around Research Week. Now it's up to you to decide who wins the prize! Voting is open from now until April 15. The Judges’ First Place will receive $300.
Register to attend a presentation by Justin Sanchez, director of the Biological Technologies Office (BTO) at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). On April 4, Sanchez will discuss how researchers can work with DARPA and outline BTO research interests.
