Billing, Payments, Semester Payment Plan |
Spring bills will be available on View & Pay beginning Monday, Dec. 1. Payments can be made online via e-check or by check, cashier's check, or money order.
The spring 2026 payment plan opens for enrollment on Tuesday, Dec. 2, and will be available on View & Pay. Enroll by Jan. 2 to take advantage of the four-installment plan. If you enroll after Jan. 2, only three or fewer installments will be available — so don’t wait!
The final day to enroll in the plan is Feb. 23, and the university does not offer alternative payment plans, so make sure to plan ahead.
Good news! If you receive additional financial aid, your payment plan will automatically adjust to reflect it.

Review Your Financial Aid Offer |
|
Financial aid disbursement for the spring 2026 semester starts on Jan. 16, excluding law students. Financial aid funds are applied to student accounts toward their university charges, such as tuition and fees, housing, and meal plans. If the financial aid amount exceeds the charges billed, any remaining credit balance is refunded to the student (or to a parent if specified for a Parent PLUS Loan). Please allow 2-3 weeks for refunds to process. The specific disbursement date is contingent upon the start date of the student’s courses.

Are you planning to enroll in summer classes and utilize financial aid? Financial aid funds for summer are typically limited for most students. Once you are enrolled in summer courses, the Office of Financial Aid will begin to assess your eligibility for aid in late February or early March. Your financial aid package will be available through your myUSF Self-Service portal, where you can review and either accept or decline the aid offered. If you would like to discuss your financial aid eligibility prior to registering for the summer term, we encourage you to reach out to the Office of Financial Aid to speak with a financial aid adviser.

Used a private loan before and plan to do so again? Be sure to apply with your chosen lender for spring 2026. While USF doesn’t recommend or endorse specific lenders, you can use FASTChoice to explore lenders who’ve worked with USF students in the past three years.

If you're planning to use a Parent PLUS loan, an application must be submitted every year. If your parents used this loan in the past and plan to do so again for spring 2026, they’ll need to reapply at StudentAid.gov. For a step-by-step guide on how to apply, see the PLUS Loan instructions.

Maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) |
Need financial aid? Keep up with SAP. To stay eligible for financial aid, all students must meet SAP standards. These guidelines are in place to help you stay on track toward earning your degree. If you didn’t meet the requirements, you were notified through your Dons email in early June 2025.
You may be able to appeal if you have extenuating circumstances. Appeals are reviewed in 2–3 weeks, and you’ll need to submit supporting documents for every circumstance you include in your appeal. Learn more and submit your appeal »

1098-T tax statements will be available in mid-January. USF only mails the 1098-T form to students who did not opt for electronic delivery on myUSF View & Pay, at the student’s address on file. Students are expected to provide the tax form to their parent(s), guardian, or tax preparer. Students can also view this form online on View & Pay.
