We appreciate that some of our students may confront travel or other pandemic-related circumstances that could prevent them from attending Andover in the 2021-2022 academic year. If you will not be able to join us on campus this fall, a leave of absence/deferral may be requested for the entire 2021-22 school year. However, such a request must be made by June 1, 2021 or will not be granted. Returning families who wish to request a leave should contact Clyfe Beckwith, senior advisor to the head of school, and new families requesting a deferral should contact Jill Thompson, director of admission, by June 1, 2021 at the latest.
Please note: The June 1st deadline for leave of absence requests represents a change to our typical policy that will be in effect for the 2021-22 school year given the unprecedented nature of the pandemic and the necessity for the school to have an exact understanding of who will be enrolled for planning and safety purposes. Furthermore, we will not be able to offer flexibility in tuition due dates. We regret that we will be unable to offer refunds for enrollment deposits or tuition payments, except for in accordance with the tuition refund plan.
As always in these uncertain times, should the pandemic shift and require us to change course with respect to having all students on campus in the fall, we will adjust accordingly. We will continue to make decisions based on scientific evidence.
We look forward to being together on campus in September 2021. Best wishes for a safe and restful summer.
Sincerely,
