From the Office of the Dean |
Greetings, everyone, and welcome to the final CHDCM Dean’s newsletter of the 2023-2024 Academic Year, our inaugural year as a new College! For some members of our community, this also marks the end of your time on campus—and the beginning of your new identity as an alum of our College. I look forward to celebrating with you at commencement, and to hearing all of the many accomplishments that will surely follow your time at The Hall!
As we come to the end of this semester and academic year, I also want to use this as a space to help recognize one member of our CHDCM community who is in transition as we head into the Summer. Ms. Marion Dunnell is staying at Seton Hall, but after years of amazing service to our programs, she is moving up into a position in the Health Services Department! Thanks, Marion, for all that you’ve given over the years of your service here, and though we’ll miss seeing you in our office, we’re glad that you’re not going far!
This last newsletter also marks another ending—the last day of Spring 2024 classes! I wish you all well as you work to finish up classes, meet deadlines, and wrap up the academic business of the year. In the midst of all this hectic activity, please do make sure you get rest, eat right, and practice self-care—and remember the many resources available on campus, including the priest community, UWill telehealth platform, Counseling and Psychological Services for students, and the Employee Assistance Program for faculty.
With that, I encourage you to read on, to see the news and notes from our amazing College and its people. I wish you all as smooth an end of classes as possible, and a warm, happy start to the Summer. See you again in the Fall, when our newsletter will return. And—speaking of next semester—if you are a current CHDCM student and you haven’t registered yet for your classes, now is a great time to do so! As we finish up the finals for spring, don’t miss the chance to add the classes you want and need for the Fall 2024 semester!
Happy Summer, everybody, and thanks for making my first year here at Seton Hall so special! I can’t wait to continue our journey together in the Fall….
