Learn more about the newly chartered
UC Rally Committee Alumni Chapter!
| |
Founded in 1901, the UC Rally Committee (UCRC) has a long and proud tradition of promoting school spirit and fostering community among Cal students. For generations, the Committee has played a vital role in supporting Cal athletics, organizing rallies and events, and promoting the values of leadership and service on campus. The Committee provides many opportunities for its members, including cheering for the Golden Bears, learning about the University's captivating past, and organizing some of the biggest events on campus, like the Bonfire Rally. The Rally Committee is also in charge of protecting the university's symbols, including the Cal Flags, the California Banner, the California Victory Cannon, the Card Stunts, and The Axe when it is in Cal’s possession.

We’ve always had a dedicated group of alumni who come together for Big Game, Bonfire Rally, and our annual banquet, just to name a few. We wanted to formalize this group with the support of the Cal Alumni Association to create a space for former Committee members to reconnect, reminisce, and continue to support the spirit and mission of the Rally Committee.
Our chapter is committed to honoring and preserving the traditions of the University while also supporting the current generation of Cal students. We aim to build bridges between the past and present through our events, mentorship opportunities, and fundraising efforts. We also aim to foster community and camaraderie among UC Rally Committee alumni, whether at a football tailgate, a summer welcome party, or a volunteer experience.
As a chapter, our goals include: supporting the current UCRC to preserve and innovate the traditions and the spirit of Cal, providing opportunities for alumni to reconnect with one another and with current members, and supporting the current Rally Committee through philanthropy, volunteerism, and mentorship.
The hope is that these goals help us support the proud legacy of the UC Rally Committee and inspire future generations of Cal students to continue its tradition of excellence.

We have hosted a variety of events with our alumni chapter. These include a post-Big Game brunch to celebrate the students' accomplishments after Big Game Week, tailgates and happy hours, supporting our new member welcome, an annual banquet hosted by the current UCRC, Big Give, and many more events to come!
We’re excited to kick off our chapter into high gear beginning this summer and welcome all former UC Rally Committee members and friends to join our chapter! Learn more by filling out our interest form.

Summer Welcome Party Planning!
Summer Welcome Parties (SWP) are the one time of year where your chapter can invite incoming Cal students to an event to meet and greet Alumni, current students, and other incoming students who have sent in their SIR to Cal! This is usually one of the first contacts the students have with Alumni after sending their acceptance into Cal and we want to make sure to give them a great welcoming experience as we do every year! And as always, please feel free to collaborate with other Chapters! If your chapter has not hosted a SWP before and is interested, please feel free to reach out to us for support and attend the SWP Drop-In Hours (detailed below).
Please have ONE official board member (president preferred) from your chapter complete the Summer Welcome Party Planning Form by Monday, May 16th at 11:59 p.m. PST. This form includes our Data Management Agreement. Once both are complete we can release the list to you. The student list will only be released to the alumni that complete the form.
