Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC)

New Class Begins Oct. 12 | 600-Hour Program 
This 600-hour program has four occupational completion points - 1) Child Care Worker 1, (2) Child Care Worker 2, (3) Teacher Aide - Preschool and (4) Preschool Teacher. Each level consists of classroom instruction and direct work with children. Completion of all four levels of the ECPC program meets the staff credential requirement for the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Fall Term 2020 at NFC
HEV 0870 (OCP A) - 42 hours
  • Class Dates: October 12 - November 8
  • Class meets virtually Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 5:00-8:30 p.m.
  • Mandatory DCF 40-hour training is completed during OCP A; if a student submits documentation of training, then OCP A will be articulated
HEV 0871 (OCP B) - 28 hours
  • Class Dates: November 10 - December 7
  • Class meets virtually Tuesday and Thursday, 5:00-8:30 pm
Spring Term 2021 at NFC
HEV 0872 (OCP C) - 28 hours
  • Class Dates: January 12 - February 7
  • Class meets virtually Tuesday and Thursday, 5:00-8:30 pm
HEV 0873 (OCP D) - 28 hours
  • Class Dates: February 9 - March 7
  • Class meets virtually Tuesday and Thursday, 5:00-8:30 pm

The T.E.A.C.H. program provides training and compensation to improve the quality of early childhood care and education experiences by providing scholarships for caregivers and center directors.
