The 60th School Year is Here!

As we embark on a new academic year, we have much to celebrate — the 60th anniversary of School Year Abroad! Over the past six decades, more than 9,000 students have immersed themselves in new cultures, deepened their language skills and returned home with a greater understanding of the world.
As we honor this incredible milestone, we are reminded of the countless ways SYA has impacted lives. From fostering lifelong friendships to inspiring future careers, the experiences our students have gained across all eight of our campuses are long-lasting and invaluable.

SYA is pleased to announce the addition of two new trustees to its governing body: Dennis Manning IT’12P and Ted Ramsey ES’81, pictured from left to right. Each brings a passion for and a high level of commitment to the SYA mission.

Head back to school for The French Perspective on U.S. Elections: Insights and Reflections. This class will highlight the French perspective on how French media and public opinion perceive U.S. elections, and the cultural differences that shape these perspectives.

Please join President Tom Hassan at our annual reception at Michael's New York with fellow alumni, parents and friends and celebrate our 60th year.
This is a ticketed event with limited capacity and preregistration is required.

Virtual information sessions and school visits have begun for future SYAers and their families. We are also excited to share that the application for full year and semester programs is now open.
If you know students who would be a great fit for SYA, please send them this information. Many students learn about SYA from friends and family — you could be the reason a student gets the chance to experience SYA!

Throughout the academic year, join us as we share stories, memories and photographs highlighting the power of SYA. We will celebrate our 60th year with events in Barcelona (April 25-26) and Zaragoza (April 28-30). While plans are still coming together, we’re excited about curating events across two iconic cities.
