Family Fun Day
We are excited to welcome everyone back to our in-person Family Fun Day event! This will be our 6th annual event celebrating ways local families can incorporate health & wellness habits into their daily lives.
Other area organizations that promote healthy living have teamed up with Clay County Public Health Center to offer free games, activities and entertainment, free health checks, prizes, healthy living resources, food trucks and more!

| | Virtual Guided Tour through the Community Health Dashboard
Join Elizabeth Yoder, Clay County Public Health Center epidemiology manager, for a livestream event on Wednesday, August 24 at 11 a.m. to "walk-through" the new online community health dashboard.
The dashboard is great resource for those who live in the Northland or are a part of organizations involved in creating policy, assigning resources, and planning for actions that can improve the health of people in the Northland. This event can help you find the data and info you're most interested in and understand the context and overall importance of the dashboard.

Back-to-School Vaccination
If your child is headed into 12th grade, 8th grade or kindergarten, they will need certain vaccinations before the school year starts. Appointments at Clay County Public Health Center fill quickly in the weeks leading up to the first day of school so call 816-595-4355 as soon as possible to schedule.
Clay County Public Health Center accepts most major insurances and offers vaccines for uninsured and underinsured children (only administration fees will apply).

| Now Offering COVID Protection for Children Under 5
After a rigorous review process, parents can now choose to get their children ages 6 months to 4 years vaccinated against COVID-19.
Clay County Public Health Center is currently offering appointments for this age group to get vaccinated using the Pfizer COVID vaccine.

World Breastfeeding Week Celebration
Breastfeeding moms and their babies, families, and advocates are invited to join in the celebration! There will be food, giveaways and lots of great info shared about breastfeeding, safe sleep, Medicaid and more.

Also, anyone pregnant or who has a little one under 3 months old is invited to a baby shower before the breastfeeding event from 10:30 a.m. to noon! We love to shower new moms with lots of additional giveaway items and share other resources and info. RSVP for the shower by August 15 via email or calling 816-595-4293.
