Mary Cassatt's circa 1893 drypoint, Gathering Fruit, and René Magritte's 1966 etching, Paysage de Baucis (Self Portrait with a Hat), each brought $35,000 in our 19th & 20th Century Prints & Drawings auction last Thursday. The sale saw more internet bidding, particularly via the Swann Galleries App, than any previous sale in the category, and 20% of buyers were new to Swann, showing a sustained growth for the Prints & Drawings department at Swann Galleries.
