2020 NSF CAREER Award Winners
UT is ranked 46th among the nation’s best public universities and 103rd nationally, according to the 2022 U.S. News and World Report undergraduate rankings released today. UT had the largest rise in rankings among comparable peers up from 52nd and 112th, respectively, in 2021.

University of Tennessee students exhibited creativity designing floating wetlands
George Siopsis, a professor in the physics department, is a co-principal investigator on Quantum-Accelerated Internet Testbed, or QuAInt. QuAInt is one of the projects funded by the Department of Energy's recent $61 million investment in quantum information science.

The 2021 Accounting and Information Management (AIM) Academy and Women Empowered through Business (WEB) Institute, presented virtually by UT's Haslam College of Business, welcomed 19 students from diverse backgrounds who have an interest in business and management.

Participants ranging from precollege teens to current professionals recently participated in a series of camps teaching computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining. Camps focused on training the current and future workforces that will be using this emerging method of production.

Enexor BioEnergy recently announced that it has been awarded a grant to provide advanced testing services for an innovative high-temperature ceramic filter technology by RevV. RevV is a partnership between ORNL and UT, overseen by JIAM Chair of Excellence Dayakar Penumadu.
