28th Annual Student Scholars Day
Student Scholars Day (SSD) celebrates scholarship, research, and creative work performed by GVSU students. Beginning as a single-day research symposium almost 30 years ago, SSD evolved into a multi-day event that celebrates the scholarly process and showcases faculty-mentored student work. Student presentations will be on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS REQUEST
We can help you get the word out to your students! We would be happy to send you flyers, pluggers, and/or a Power Point file so that you can promote SSD to your students.

Recruitment Requests from External Researchers
If a non-GVSU researcher has asked you to disseminate a recruitment announcement to GVSU students, faculty, or staff for participation in human subjects research, please instruct the external researcher to complete the form located on the External Research Recruitment Request webpage. The ORCI will review the request to ensure GVSU is not engaged in the research and will reach out to the appropriate unit(s) to determine if the researcher has permission to move forward with recruitment at GVSU.

Q: Do I need an export license to email technical data to my collaborator at a university outside of the U.S.?
A: It depends. The need for an export license is determined by what you are sending, what country it is going to, who individually will be receiving it, and what they are planning to do with the item/information once received. Export regulations apply to both tangible and intangible items, so in some cases, technical data is controlled by the regulations and may require a license before the information can be sent. The penalties for engaging in restricted activities without the proper export control license can be severe, and both the individual and university can be held liable. The Office of Research Compliance and Integrity (rci@gvsu.edu; 616-331-3197) will be able to review your proposed activities and help determine if an export license is required.
